Our Story

Trevor Mitiguy, founder of Mitiguy Aviation, has dedicated his career to the pursuit of excellence in aviation. His passion for flying began at the age of 12, leading to his first solo flight at 16 and earning his Private Pilot's License at 17. Trevor continued his aviation journey at The Ohio State University, where he pursued an Air Transportation degree while simultaneously gaining experience as a Certified Flight Instructor.

While still in college, Trevor managed a flight school, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to developing the next generation of aviators. During his senior year, he embarked on his corporate aviation career, flying a Citation Jet before upgrading to the Gulfstream IV. Now type-rated on both the G-IV and CE-525, Trevor's extensive experience in corporate aviation adds a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to his instruction.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Trevor established Mitiguy Aviation to offer students the highest quality flight training at an affordable price. His primary focus is on safety, student success, and fostering a supportive, family-oriented atmosphere. Trevor's own accelerated training journey, achieving his Certified Flight Instructor rating within four months of obtaining his PPL, serves as inspiration for his students to pursue their goals efficiently and confidently.
